CONTRARY OPPOSITIONS

After visiting the new ECB library, I was inspired by the beauty and the poetry of the dialogue between the historical "Grossmarkthalle" and the new Main Building. Working place, creativity place, knowledge place are definitions of this European library. As a symbol of Europe, I took details of the Main ECB Building. "Close-ups" of the architecture embody different sources of inspiration in my work. But, above all, one detail evokes more than it shows, a piece of architecture for the building and the building for the European Idea. Black and white in dialogue with green and color pictures generate abstract mental imagery, sometimes like a beehive, like a sailing boat...

Confrontation between the two pictures open passages from humanity in the nature to the urban world, from the empty to the full, from the straight to the curve, from the decorative to the abstract. Photos, tell us the story of an ecologic world from which we cannot escape to a creative world, which extract us from reality.
